What with all the hullabaloo about Swine Flu and pig dissing and rumors that bacon is somehow, inexplicably, less awesome than it once was, I’m going to make what could be construed as a controversial statement: I love meat. Pigs included. All varieties, in fact. And what’s more, I love a man who knows his meat. Which is why I plan on having a stack of these handy at all times:

Quick Tip of the Day: Optimism 101
Here’s a cheerful Sally Hawkins in the film Happy Go Lucky. I saw it recently and found myself simultaneously amazed and annoyed that one person (a fictional person, but still) could be so happy all the freakin’ time. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that just maybe optimism is infectious, and I don’t mean in the swine flu way.

You have no idea how thrilled I am about the fact that I found this image on Flickr. I mean, the fact that there actually is a street called “Awesome” is the awesomest thing I’ve ever heard.
