Funny People opened at #1, but to disappointing business– one of the worst #1 openings in years… and the worst for Adam Sandler in five years. But most devastating of all: the film received a dreadful B- average from cinemagoers, which is almost always fatal to 2nd weekend totals.

B- For Funny People is quite generous. All of the movie’s best moments are in the trailers. If you have seen the trailers, there is no need to see the movie.
