As we’ve mentioned previously, the District of Columbia’s City Council is holding hearings on whether to allow gay weddings to go ahead in their fair city. Hundreds of people flocked to the meetings (probably a first in the history of DC) to sign up to voice their opinions. A man named Andy Hertzberg was given a microphone and, well… you just have to see this news report:
Gotta love the wacko who says that the proposal showed “no respect” for the Council. We cannot put into words how stupid and probably hypocritical this woman is. It’s not like she wouldn’t have cried tears of joy if a straight couple had become engaged during the proceedings.
And the battle trudges on…
Whoever worded that sign originally ought to be ashamed, since Jesus never said any such damn thing.

??? Losing their tax exemption? As far as I know, catholic churches refuse to marry a catholic with a non-catholic (unless (s)he converts) and I have never heard of them being threatened to lose their tax exemption!
