The long national drama known as the Carrie Prejean Saga has ended with an undisclosed settlement, rumors of a sex tape, and some ridiculous boobs.

News outlets across the country, hungry for scandals, jumped on this TMZ report from earlier today, which claims that Carrie Prejean and the Miss California pageant agreed to walk away from lawsuits against each other, with Prejean pocketing only $100K for her lawyers.

Why did she bail on her lawsuit, which had something to do with being humiliated (as opposed to the organization’s suit, which was about the money they she say she owed them for the fake boobs)? Two words: sex tape.

The video the lawyer showed Carrie is extremely graphic and has never been released publicly. We know that, because TMZ obtained the video months ago but decided not to post it because it was so racy. Let’s just say, Carrie has a promising solo career.

We’re told it took about 15 seconds for Carrie to jettison her demand and essentially walk away with nothing. As we first reported, the Pageant is paying around $100,000 to her lawyers and publicist — a fraction of her bills. She pockets nothing in the settlement. [TMZ]

Seriously, though, I don’t think this will impede her ability to be a right-wing religious nut. Fundies love a good redemption story…. “I was confused…lost…blah blah…then I found JESUS!!!11!!eleventyone!”

If she had a “solo” outing, then she could be promoting safe sex and abstinence before marriage - god doesn’t mind masturbation nearly as much as fornication, after all.
