Salon writer Mary Elizabeth Williams says that porn is ruining her sex life– because all the guys she sleeps with seem to enjoy it too much. We agree, but the main problem for us is the ridiculous patterns of porn that too many guys take seriously: make out, girl goes go down, guy might reciprocate, then sex for what feels like hours, guy hammering away on a lifeless, moaning form.
We’ll let her take it from there:
He’d been jackhammering away for what felt like hours. “You like that, baby? You like that?” he asked, though he didn’t notice I wasn’t answering. And then, somewhere around the 18th time he said it, it hit me — I wasn’t just having bad sex. I was having bad porn sex.
Convenience, ubiquity and the goal-oriented, money-shot, male-centric perspective of most porn (hint: Women don’t need to see that much fellatio) have changed us.

I think it’s “HOW women can have orgasms…” ie, “what supposedly works in a porn film will probably not be all that enjoyable in real life.”
This Is Old News. The good news, however, is all the truly amateur porn that is available on the internet: real people having real sex.
@almost–some women can have orgasms just from vaginal intercourse, but they’re in the minority. Most women require some form of clitoral stimulation to come. Which can sometimes come from vaginal intercourse if the penis/sex toy/implement that is inside the vagina is also rubbing against the clit (which can happen often in certain sexual positions).
wait…. women don’t like loads being blown in their face?! crap, no wonder i’m still single : (
@amy and @almost - Take a look at Susie Bright’s site to see how the clitoris is constructed. There’s a lot more going on inside than there is outside, and we the lucky get clitoral stimulation during vaginal intercourse. http://susiebright.blogs.com/susie_brights_journal_/2008/08/the-internal-clitoris-what-a-womans-cock-really-looks-like.html
