Just kidding, Dina! No one deserves to be the victim of domestic abuse: not you, not your daughter, maaaaybe not your husband or Joe Francis. But this taped phone call, coming days after the other call between Lindsay and Michael Lohan that Michael sold to Radar surfaced, is sort of priceless.
In the call from 2008, Lindsay’s mom exclaims,
“You don’t even know what I’d go through trying to get her into, like, rehab and stuff. She’d like, punch me in the face, kick me out of the car…like you don’t know the (expletive) I went through trying to get her an intervention by myself. It was very difficult. She’s really sad and really hurt and really…despondent. I told her not to go to L.A. at 18…she did. I couldn’t leave these other three to go get her and it was, like, a mess.”
By the way, that’s how you know you have a healthy family dynamic: when your dad is secretly taping all your phone conversations and selling them to tabloids because, as he said, “I’m tired of being lied about. I’m tired of Dina and others making me out to be someone I’m not, so now I’m going to prove to the world who the real liars are.” Yeah, good job. Now you just look like an asshole.
