We don’t care whether you’re a guy or girl: if you’re not excited (sexually) for Guy Ritchie’s adaptation of Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, you have failed the Replicant test. First of all, for all the lip service given to Johnny Depp for being the one actor that men find attractive, Robert Downey Jr. is such a better choice. He made Iron Man, a comic that no one really cared about, into a blockbuster hit. His bad-boy life story, filled with Hollywood nepotism and multiple rehab stints, would make its own awesome film. And if you didn’t find his performance in Tropic Thunder to be Academy Award caliber, well we feel sorry for you, son.
So feel free to not watch the new Sherlock Holmes trailer that came out today, you’re only denying yourself pleasure. For the rest of us, we’ll be ogling along together.
